Do you ever find yourself revisiting something that once served you, just to remind yourself that it no longer does? I don’t consider it a waste of time; rather, it’s a gentle reminder that you’re on a different path now. I don’t actively seek out these opportunities, but when they present themselves to me, I take them. Then comes the reminder to continue on my journey. Sometimes, it’s overwhelming to let my feelings surface, but it’s also exhilarating to create the life you want to live. Continuing on a path that you’re forging for yourself allows you to leave the past behind and be at peace with the decisions you make. It involves letting go of attachments and expectations and allowing energy to flow naturally. There’s no need to wish for life to be different because if it’s meant to be, it will be, and if it’s not, there’s a reason. What’s meant for you will come to you.
Letting go of control and allowing things to be as they are can be frightening, but it’s more exhausting to try to manipulate everything in front of you. We deserve to find peace, to let our nervous systems settle, and to have some calm in our lives. Everything meant for me will present itself to me and give me the ability to shape it into my future if that’s what I desire.
I don’t know the true purpose of our lives on this planet, but I do know it’s not about stressing over how others perceive you or trying to fit into societal molds. It certainly can’t be about how much money you have or what possessions you own. My purpose here is to experience all the things that call to me, that light a fire in my soul and linger in my mind. I want my innermost being to be on display to the world around me, fully experiencing all there is to be experienced. And with that, the world will experience me in my fullest form—not a dulled-down version, but me with all my thoughts and words, desires and passions, feelings and wisdom. That’s the essence of who I am. The experience I desire to create for myself is one of living in unison with all parts of myself: my mind, body, and soul; my heart, head, and gut—all collaborating to live one existence on this planet.
